    Metalex powered by UPG is a growing steel service center that has been in business for almost 60 years. Metalex is looking hire a Manufacturing Engineer. Looking for a person who has good function/technical skills, ability to problem solve and make good decisions. This position will report into the Director of Operations. 

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 

    • Maintain product set up and documentation including part numbers, part descriptions, BOMs, labor rates, etc.; maintain engineering change notices
    • Conduct time studies; determine manufacturing process times and capacities
    • Utilize product drawings, specifications, and other engineering data to develop processes
    • Support manufacturing operations such as: Tooling, stamping, perforating, forming, and welding
    • Determine the sequence of steps in manufacturing processes, such as manufacturing costing, fabrication, and assembly, required to complete product development while meeting safety, quality, and cost goals

    Position Requirements: 

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
    • Five years of engineering experience preferred
    • Previous Stamping and/or Tool & Die experience preferred
    • Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
    • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a timely manner
