Manufacturing Director oversees manufacturing operations and the production management and supervisory teams for a plant or unit. Incorporates organization-wide operational safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and cost control policies and programs into manufacturing processes. Being a Manufacturing Director monitors production metrics, responds to and resolves problems, and recommends process improvements, new technologies, and methods to maximize operational efficiency. Collaborates with leaders to manage and resolve workforce or labor issues and develop long-term solutions. Additionally, Manufacturing Director implements long-term plans for facilities, equipment, materials, technology, and workforce resources to maintain manufacturing capacity and processes that support business goals. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Manufacturing Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Manufacturing Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Job Summary:
    The Director of Finance and Administration is a senior leadership role responsible for all financial aspects of the organization as well as the company’s information technology operations. This includes managing financial & IT operations, strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting.  The role requires a strong understanding of financial principles, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to provide strategic financial guidance to support the company’s goals.  
     
    Work Responsibilities & Duties:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop financial accounting and IT team members.
    • Prepare and present regular financial reports, statements, and analysis to leadership.
    • Lead the annual budgeting process, ensuring accurate and achievable financial plans.
    • Manage financial risk through effective risk assessment, internal controls, and compliance practices.
    • Safeguarding organizational assets and overseeing payroll accuracy.
    • Oversee the organization’s technology infrastructure, systems, and IT operations.
    • Lead the automation and integration of business systems, ensuring accurate data flow.
    • Ensure the security, privacy, and compliance of IT systems and data with relevant regulations and industry standards.
    • Set performance goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.

    Qualifications and Education Requirements:
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
    • Bachelor’s degree in finance and/or accounting required (master’s degree preferred).
    • Extensive experience in finance, accounting, and technology leadership roles, with a significant portion in managerial or executive positions.
    • Strong understanding of financial principles, regulations, and technology trends.
    • Excellent knowledge of accounting processes (e.g., budgeting, and financial closure) and GAAP.
    • Proven track record of aligning financial and technology strategies with business goals.
    • Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, IT infrastructure, and data analysis tools.

    Preferred Skills and Expectations:
    • Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), or IT-related certifications are beneficial.
    • Solid background and functional ability using NetSuite ERP software system.
    • Advanced Excel spreadsheet skills including those required for using pivot tables, v lookups, sum-if's, spreadsheet linking, and nesting functions, and to construct financial models/reports.
    • Ability to handle competing priorities and meet deadlines.
    • Great organizational skills.
