Manufacturing Director oversees manufacturing operations and the production management and supervisory teams for a plant or unit. Incorporates organization-wide operational safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and cost control policies and programs into manufacturing processes. Being a Manufacturing Director monitors production metrics, responds to and resolves problems, and recommends process improvements, new technologies, and methods to maximize operational efficiency. Collaborates with leaders to manage and resolve workforce or labor issues and develop long-term solutions. Additionally, Manufacturing Director implements long-term plans for facilities, equipment, materials, technology, and workforce resources to maintain manufacturing capacity and processes that support business goals. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Manufacturing Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. The Director of Quality / Manufacturing Engineering will be responsible for management of quality and manufacturing engineering team execution and performance in supports GPD’s overall quality management initiatives through customer focus and meeting both internal and external quality requirements. Further, the role will have responsibility to drive continuous manufacturing improvement thru the manufacturing engineering staff with specific focus on yield improvement and on time delivery.
As a leader within the organization, support of QMS is an essential element of this role. Quality objectives such as customer focus, direct involvement with product compliance, assurance of qualification status, and assist for operations as an SME as appropriate for quality engineering efforts such as process control, calibration, and implementation of CA/PA.
This full-time, exempt role will report to the COO and will be located at our Salem, NH facility.
