Barton & Loguidice, D.P.C., a growing multi-disciplined engineering and architecture firm, is seeking a resourceful, self-motivated and experienced Architect with the ability to provide high-level building review and design services for a broad range of clientele. Applications for this position are primarily sought for Hartford, CT; Baltimore, MD and Annapolis, MD, but are also being accepted for B&L’s other office locations in New York and Pennsylvania. Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a B.S. in Architecture with a minimum of 10 years of diverse consulting engineering experience on municipal, commercial, private, and/or industrial facilities projects. Candidates should possess acute analytical skills, the capability to design and manage small to large projects, and a comprehensive technical background across all facets of architectural and building design, including code review and client management.
Specific areas of expertise could include:
Excellent communication and writing skills are essential to accomplish synergistic interaction with both technical clients and co-worker/staff. Software capabilities must include Microsoft Office platform Revit, and Autocad. Technical capabilities must include a strong working knowledge of basic construction and industry standards, as well as State building codes. Additionally, a broad familiarity with the work of other project team members, including structural, electrical, mechanical and civil engineers is desired to allow for effective, integrated and well-coordinated project design solutions. Desired soft skills include interfacing with internal and external clients, mentoring younger staff, and assistance with proposal development.
This position will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to develop and manage dynamic, challenging projects that incorporate innovative and unique goals and objectives. Additional industry certifications, including LEED AP, are considered a plus. Registration as a Registered Architect (RA or AIA) in MD (or eligibility to obtain) is desired.
Estimated Pay Range: $100,000 - $155,000/year.
Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
