Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Office Manager and Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial management software, overseeing the day-to-day operations of our office.
General office responsibilities include reception, ordering supplies, filing, mail, etc. Responsibilities will be for the main office and for our local co-working space.
Office responsibilities for the co-working space and possibly other rental properties will include:
Bookkeeping responsibilities will be primarily for the M&S company. These will include
· General accounting tasks including processing of accounts receivable and accounts payable
· Preparation of checks with timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices
· Biweekly payroll processing
· Monthly reconciliation of credit card activity
· Assist with the monthly close and account reconciliations
· Optional: project bookkeeping services
REQUIREMENTS / SKILLS
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, responsive and timely communicator with clients and team members
· Ability to adapt to quickly changing environments and serve in many roles as part of a nimble and innovative team
· Ability to multi‐task, prioritize and maintain a high level of organization in a dynamic environment
· Professional demeanor and conduct, exercises good judgment and represents the firm with integrity
· 5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
· BA in Accounting, Finance or related discipline a plus
· Certified Public Accountant a plus
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel
· Detail-oriented
· Ability to work independently.
