Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the dietary department, ensuring efficient and effective operations
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Develop and implement menus that meet dietary requirements and preferences of residents
- Ensure food is prepared and served in a safe and sanitary manner
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as necessary
- Train new employees on proper food handling procedures
- Maintain records of food production, inventory, and resident preferences
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth functioning of the facility, such as participation in IDT meetings, visiting residents, updating dietary profiles in computer and attend care conferences.
Experience:
- Previous experience in kitchen management or a similar role is required
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Strong culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Certified Dietary Manager or Certified Dietary Supervisor
