Maintains managed care contracts and information databases and prepares reports. Additionally, Managed Care Coordinator typically requires an associate degree in nursing. Network-wide job under the direction of the Director of Managed Care Contracting and Operations, responsible for coordinating payer contract functions for both internal and external customers on behalf of all UF Health hospitals. Day-to-day supervision is provided by payer contract manager. Responsible for positive communication with payers and UF Health departments, including physicians, department/physician practice managers and physicians/organizations affiliated with UF Health. Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Must be capable of delivering clear communications to senior leadership and staff. Responsible for managing contract and correspondence files and planning projects. Works collaboratively to facilitate credentialing activities with UF Health and professional entities. Assists in integration functions for the acquisition of new facilities, physician groups and other entities, such as ASCs. Responsible for creating and maintaining provider files and participating grids for existing network entities and especially for new network-wide ventures, such as IRFs, and other sub-providers. Responsible for coordinating department special project lists and tasks.
