Maintenance Planner, Sr. devises plans and programs for routine preventative maintenance and scheduled turnaround events at a plant or production facility. Accurately defines and estimates required work requests and maintains a consistent tracking system for work orders. Being a Maintenance Planner, Sr. develops inspection and survey procedures to ensure an effective preventative maintenance system. Works closely with technicians, engineers, operations, and managers to establish a schedule of proactive maintenance activities during appropriate downtime. Additionally, Maintenance Planner, Sr. utilizes planning and scheduling methods to ensure the most effective and least disruptive maintenance possible. Typically uses a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking and planning maintenance. Monitors spare parts inventory to ensure availability of required parts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. May require a Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. SUMMARY : This position is responsible for planning maintenance activities. This position may also support feed mill and hatchery managers by providing ongoing technical service of hatchery / mill SAP-PM Plans through plan creation, clean -up, and modifications.
interface with Operations Support concerning appropriate reports to develop, track and report to management.
REQUIREMENTS :
Education : Minimum of a high school or GED diploma. Any special
training in maintenance or education beyond post high school level is
preferred.
Experience : Minimum of two years in house mechanical experience; formal
mechanical skills training received from Tyson maintenance training;
knowledge of parts room procedures and policies. Previous experience in
successfully planning and scheduling maintenance management is a plus.
Computer Skills : Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and SAP preferred or
ability to learn in short period of time.
Communication Skills : Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Special Skills : Strong mechanical aptitude, organizational skills,
interpersonal communication skills and problem solving skills are an
absolute necessity for this position. The position requires the ability
to work independently.
