SUMMARY
The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler will be responsible for maintaining a robust, audit-ready Maintenance Planning and Scheduling Program for all facilities, utilities systems and equipment including analytical instrumentation and other R&D lab support equipment. The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler is responsible for the planning and scheduling of preventive and corrective maintenance activities. This includes the documentation associated with the equipment/instrument planned and unplanned interventions throughout its entire life cycle from release for use through decommissioning. This position is the principal contact and liaison between operations and all other stakeholders. In this capacity, the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler ensures that maintenance and calibration activities are effectively planned, scheduled, executed, and properly documented in a timely, efficient, and compliant manner to minimize downtime and appropriately support the needs of our stakeholders.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIRED SKILLS:- Interface with stakeholders/requesters to thoroughly understand the need for resource deployment, using excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Maintaining maintenance CMMS system. Ensuring all CMMS documentation is accurate and up to date
- Upload data records into the validated computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
- Maintain work order backlog to at or below the designated level.
- Assess requirements, often through visual inspection, to thoughtfully plan required planned and unplanned interventions.
- Coordinate equipment downtime to prevent minimal disruption in production.
- Assist in evaluating and documenting the duration and state of equipment needs to execute the work scheduled with end users.
- Manage the maintenance and calibration activity schedule with input from production planning, lab manager and others as necessary to maintain compliance with the schedule.
- Monitor and control cost of maintenance while improving conditions of equipment and operating facilities.
- Provide data required for metrics, reporting, KPIs and quality system metrics.
- Coordinate activities and schedules related to the use of service providers.
- Obtain quotes and submit requisitions for goods and services related to facility and maintenance activities.
- Assist in the investigation of instrument and equipment-related events.
- Review/ approve documentation to ensure that accurate, concise documentation is submitted and meets all the requirements of GMP's and internal SOP's.
- Develop and maintain appropriate relationships to attain the goals of productivity, safety, cost, quality and stakeholder satisfaction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Non-system generated, unplanned/corrective work order approval and review for closure
- Subject Matter Expert for CMMS and related procedures and processes
- Asset data change request preparer/reviewer/approver
- Owner of applicable/assigned SOP/WI
- Maintenance assessment for facility/equipment change controls
QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or Facility Management or Equivalent experience preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years of equipment maintenance/calibration/engineering experience within a regulated industry (1-3 years in a Planning Role preferred)
- Solid understanding of the application of Maintenance Best Practices
- Strong analytical skills with knowledge of data analysis tools and reporting
- Knowledge of Lean principles
- Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Advanced knowledge of CMMS (MP2 and MVP preferred)
