Maintenance Planner, Sr. jobs in Albany, OR
Maintenance Planner, Sr. devises plans and programs for routine preventative maintenance and scheduled turnaround events at a plant or production facility. Accurately defines and estimates required work requests and maintains a consistent tracking system for work orders. Being a Maintenance Planner, Sr. develops inspection and survey procedures to ensure an effective preventative maintenance system. Works closely with technicians, engineers, operations, and managers to establish a schedule of proactive maintenance activities during appropriate downtime. Additionally, Maintenance Planner, Sr. utilizes planning and scheduling methods to ensure the most effective and least disruptive maintenance possible. Typically uses a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking and planning maintenance. Monitors spare parts inventory to ensure availability of required parts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. May require a Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Maintenance Planner, Sr. work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. Key Responsibilities
? Coordinate production workflow for one or multiple parts
? Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
? Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand
? Assign workers and other staff to particular production operations
? Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget
? Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption
? Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives etc.)
? Prepare and submit status and performance reports
? Keep paperwork organized
? Collaborate with quality control, warehouse and other staff
? Other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications
? High school diploma; Further education or certification is preferred
? Proven experience as production planner
? Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles
? Experience in MRP (Manufacturing resource planning)
? Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems
? Good at math and statistics
? Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
? Excellent communication abilities
