Maintenance Planner, Sr. devises plans and programs for routine preventative maintenance and scheduled turnaround events at a plant or production facility. Accurately defines and estimates required work requests and maintains a consistent tracking system for work orders. Being a Maintenance Planner, Sr. develops inspection and survey procedures to ensure an effective preventative maintenance system. Works closely with technicians, engineers, operations, and managers to establish a schedule of proactive maintenance activities during appropriate downtime. Additionally, Maintenance Planner, Sr. utilizes planning and scheduling methods to ensure the most effective and least disruptive maintenance possible. Typically uses a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking and planning maintenance. Monitors spare parts inventory to ensure availability of required parts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. May require a Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Maintenance Planner will have proven experience in all facets of manufacturing maintenance planning to support sustainable production as well as new models and/or new equipment introduction when required. He/She must be capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams and department leaders to ensure that maintenance planning responds to plant operations issues and addresses concerns that affect quality, productivity, safety, and equipment maintenance. The successful candidate will also have exceptional interpersonal, planning, and scheduling Skills, demonstrating the ability to be agile and responsive to plant needs and dynamics. The Maintenance planner will work very closely with the maintenance Master data planner and report to the Maintenance supervisor.
