Maintenance Planner devises plans and programs for routine preventative maintenance and scheduled turnaround events at a plant or production facility. Accurately defines and estimates required work requests and maintains a consistent tracking system for work orders. Being a Maintenance Planner develops inspection and survey procedures to ensure an effective preventative maintenance system. Works closely with technicians, engineers, operations, and managers to establish a schedule of proactive maintenance activities during appropriate downtime. Additionally, Maintenance Planner utilizes planning and scheduling methods to ensure the most effective and least disruptive maintenance possible. Typically uses a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking and planning maintenance. Monitors spare parts inventory to ensure availability of required parts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. May require a Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Maintenance Planner work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.     What your job will be like:
    Performing work within Facilities Planning, this position will prioritize, plan, and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance tasks for a team of facility maintenance technicians according to facility and safety requirements. Act as a liaison between Facilities Maintenance and Logistics (FM&L) staff, subcontractors, and the Laboratory community for the performing of maintenance work orders.

    In this role you will:
    Collaborate with the Facilities Maintenance and Operations (FMO) Manager, craft coordinators, and technicians to scope out service requests, build executable job plans, coordinate Electronic Permit Administration System (ePAS) work permit authorizations, and assign and schedule work orders to crafts.
    Serve as an ePAS super-user and key point of contact for the Facilities Management and Logistics (FM&L) Division. Maintain the ePAS plant item tool dataset used for routine plant item integration and troubleshoot ePAS application problems.
    Participate in work order scheduling/coordination meetings. Distribute Preventive Maintenance (PM), Corrective Maintenance (CM), and planned work orders in the form of a weekly schedule. Ensure accurate and timely communication with the requestor(s) regarding status of work orders such as: awaiting parts, on hold, or rescheduled work.
    Analyze Centralized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) data, trends, and report out on work order data such as PM compliance, backlog, response and cycle times, labor metrics, and additional reports as requested for monthly reporting to Facilities Management and Logistics (FM&L) management.
    Assist craft coordinators with subcontractor job coordination, research and order materials, submit purchase requisitions, and follow up with vendors to ensure materials and services arrive according to planned schedules

    Qualifications We Require:
    Bachelor's in Business, Finance, Accounting, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or directly related field of study
    5 years of experience in plant operations & maintenance experience and/or other relevant work experience
