Maintenance Planner devises plans and programs for routine preventative maintenance and scheduled turnaround events at a plant or production facility. Accurately defines and estimates required work requests and maintains a consistent tracking system for work orders. Being a Maintenance Planner develops inspection and survey procedures to ensure an effective preventative maintenance system. Works closely with technicians, engineers, operations, and managers to establish a schedule of proactive maintenance activities during appropriate downtime. Additionally, Maintenance Planner utilizes planning and scheduling methods to ensure the most effective and least disruptive maintenance possible. Typically uses a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking and planning maintenance. Monitors spare parts inventory to ensure availability of required parts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. May require a Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Maintenance Planner work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Responsibilities include:
Primary Material Planner for the electronics department for the Wellsboro, PA facility.
Create, modify, and track purchase orders to support production schedules and customer demand.
Interact with other planners, customer service, sales, and operations to monitor changing demands and avoid past due.
Support corporate inventory goals by properly managing inventory.
Determine material shortages, take appropriate actions, and communicate these actions.
Maintain a strong working relationship with peers, managers, other departments, and vendors.
Work on all issues that are potentially impactful to on time customer delivery and provide updates to the Planning Manager.
Position requires compliance with the Technology Control Plan and the Federal Export Control Policy established for the corporation.
REQUIREMENTS:
4-year degree in business or technical field.
Strong technical background and interpersonal skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
2 to 3 years of experience is preferred
