Position Summary

The Mailroom clerk (Part-Time) accurately and timely processes, sorts, distributes, and dispatches all CrescentCare incoming, outgoing, and department mail, partners with system-wide departments to coordinate shipping and receiving of mail and packages, and travels to both clinic sites to pick up and/or deliver mail.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Sorts and delivers incoming mail by department and/or employee to ensure timely distribution.
• Travels to other CrescentCare locations to pick up or drop off mail and/or packages.
• Sorts and delivers interdepartmental mail including notices and memoranda.
• Receives departmental mail.
• Readdresses undeliverable mail bearing incomplete or incorrect address.
• Fold letters or circulars and insert in envelopes.
• Weigh mail to determine that postage is correct.
• Keep record of registered mail.
• Operates various machines used to process incoming and outgoing mail packages including the postage meter, photocopying machine, mail folding machine, inserting machine and any other machine required.
• Processes and weighs outgoing mail.
• Maintains records of receipt, mailing dates, and other required information.
• Replenishes postage on the postage meter as needed.
• Receives all incoming mail and packages.
• Sorts mail and distributes via mail room mailboxes for leaders and departments.
• Retrieves mail distributed to other sites and assist, as needed with address changes.
• Supports shipping of procured items to other sites.
• Works with USPS, Fed Ex, UPS, etc. for outgoing and incoming mail
• Ensures cold storage products are received and distributed timely.
• Ensures Fed Ex, USPS and UPS items are mailed timely.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Work Experience

• 1 year experience in a related area preferred.
• Reliable transportation is required to travel to both clinic sites to pick up mail and packages.
