Summary:

Perform a variety of activities related to the processing of Federal contracts according to agreements with the customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

• Utilize scanning equipment to sort and count mail received
• Open documents performing visual edits
• Operate scanners to scan and sort documents and envelopes
• Enter and verify customer specific information utilizing images or the physical documents as needed
• Ensure image quality of items scanned
• Run batch edits, perform end of day balancing, run final reports and transmit files to customer
• Manage ship out, retention, and shred
• Perform research for customer inquiries
• Prepare daily reports for the Lockbox department
• Backup for computer operator, data entry, or lockbox as needed
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

10-key and typing experience strongly desired. Previous data experience preferred.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Basic 10 key skills

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Other Skills and Abilities

Show attention to detail and work well in a "high" pressure deadline oriented environment; Must be able to sit for extended periods of time at a desk; Must be able to work flexible and extended hours.
