Description

Ricardo Defense is currently recruiting for an experienced Server Administrator to join our Information Technology Department in our Troy, MI office. This is a Hybrid position which will allow some work from home. 

Qualified candidates must be local to the Troy, MI office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage the organization's virtualization platforms and server infrastructure to support scalable and flexible infrastructure solutions
• Monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure optimal functionality
• Collaborate with IT teams to implement and maintain infrastructure security measures
• Evaluate and recommend hardware and software upgrades to meet business needs
• Manage infrastructure documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures
• Implement backup and disaster recovery procedures to safeguard data and ensure business continuity
• Act as an escalation point for the IT service desk
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to propose innovative solutions

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited college or university is preferred
• Must be able to obtain a US Secret Clearance. Minimum requirement to obtain a clearance is U.S Citizenship. Only applicants that meet this requirement will be considered
• Sponsorship for this position is not provided
• A minimum of five years of experience in Windows Server administration and support
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud services
• Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Windows Server operating systems (Windows Server, 2016, 2019, 2022)
• Strong knowledge of M365, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and other core Windows Server services
• Experience implementing, and managing VMware environments including Horizon View VDI
• Experience with Veeam backup solution
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze and resolve infrastructure issues
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
