Machine Tool Cutting Operator/Tender jobs in Tinley Park, IL

Natura Products currently has an opening in our Tool Room for the immediate placement of a Tool and Die Maker.

Compensation: $28-35/hour

This position entails working full-time on tooling. Press setup and/or troubleshooting is not a requirement.

This is a full-time position on the first shift (6:00 am-2:30 pm) that includes benefits such as medical, dental, vision, a 401k, and paid vacations and holidays.

Some of the duties of this position are included below:

Required:

- Setup and operate all Tool Room manual machinery (including grinders, lathes, and mills), tools and equipment

- Disassemble, inspect, assess, repair, and sharpen dies per specifications

- Assemble dies and sub-assemblies per drawings

- Perform final insection of all parts produced from tools

- Overall equipment maintenance and documentation as assigned by a Supervisor

- Five (5) years of tool and die experience, at a minimum

- TMA certificate or equivalent

- Ability to read blueprints

- Ability to use all Tool Room measuring equipment

- Other duties may be assigned as required

Optional:

- Setup and operate CNC equipment

- Ability to reverse engineer components

Other:

- Ability to handle multiple assigned tasks

- Ability to lift 35lbs

You should be proficient in:

• Manual Machining Skills
• Tool/Die/Mold Repair Skills
• Tool/Die/Mold Setup Experience
• Blueprint Reading

Machines & technologies you'll use:

• Manual Vertical Mill
• Manual Grinder

Salary info:

$28 - $35 / hr
