We are a fast growing specialist directional coiled tubing drilling service company. The technology has been developed in house and has been deployed around the world including USA, Australia, and the Middle East. We provide the specialist downhole tools, equipment and the expert personnel to carry out successful coiled tubing drilling campaigns. The company is headquartered in the UK and has operational facilities in Seguin, Texas.
Purpose of Your Role
The Tool Specialist’s role is to support the companies directional coiled tubing drilling (DCTD) services. The Tool Specialist has responsibility for the maintenance and repair of tools in the workshop and in field locations. This role will require ad hoc international travel and extended periods of time away from home location. During projects travel for 3-6 weeks may be required with the usual period being 3-4 weeks. Suitable time off will be provided after periods away.
The role is primarily based in Seguin, Texas with rotations to the field project locations as required.
Role Priorities and Key Responsibilities
· Troubleshooting any electrical or mechanical issues with the tools or the software.
· Post-job engineering and performance analysis to capture lessons learned and improve the company service and tools in future operations.
Key Experience and Qualifications Required
· Associates degree or higher in an engineering or other technical degree.
· Experience working on electrical and mechanical equipment.
· Ability to install, maintain, and troubleshoot complex systems.
· Experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred.
· Previous international experience is preferred.
· Current valid passport is essential.
· Must be available to travel extensively domestically and internationally.
· Excellent communication, organization, troubleshooting and teamwork skills. Positive attitude and a high degree of self-discipline and motivation.
· Competent with using a computer including Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
