Machine Shop Production Supervisor oversees personnel in charge of operating machines that perform a variety of processing operations. Supervises assembly operations such as filing, aligning, fitting, and scraping of parts to ensure established requirements and standards are met. Being a Machine Shop Production Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairing machinery, equipment, or systems
- Conduct inspections to identify and resolve issues
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with machinery or equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment
- Collaborate with other team members to complete maintenance projects
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs
- A wide variety of duties including sweeping, deburring parts, and basic building maintenance including housekeeping.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks
