Machine Shop Production Supervisor oversees personnel in charge of operating machines that perform a variety of processing operations. Supervises assembly operations such as filing, aligning, fitting, and scraping of parts to ensure established requirements and standards are met. Being a Machine Shop Production Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow instructions and work effectively.
- Knowledge and experience in welding is required.
- Keep work areas clean and clear of debris.
- Use measuring tools, hand tools, and power tools.
- Load and unload materials by hand.
- Perform other various types of manual labor.
- Assist in the operation and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
- Operate a forklift (training provided)
