General Shop Worker

Advanced Machine & Engineering is a diversified manufacturing company that designs, builds, & delivers carbide sawing systems, custom work holding solutions, & automation solutions for a variety of industries. We are looking for full-time, 1st shift general shop worker.

Position Responsibilities:

· Assembles manufactured and purchased components into a finished product or into sub-assemblies.

· Removes burrs and rough surfaces from metal parts with hand tools & cleans parts as required.

· Assembles workholding fixtures and tombstones.

· Engraves / Stamps data on finished parts. Machine Operator as required.

· Transports parts from storage areas to work areas. Must be able to drive forklift in a safe manner.

· Communicates with co-workers and supervisor to receive instructions and coordinate activities.

· Follows company safety rules as prescribed by the company safety program.

· Performs routine daily maintenance on machine tool and maintains work area per company housekeeping standards

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• 6 months to 2 years general assembly experience, depending on product.
• Operation of light duty hand tools, blueprint reading, as needed, mechanical aptitude related to assembly and forklift driving.
• Strong math and measuring skills.
• Ability to operate large overhead crane and operate forklift.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
