Being a Machine Shop Production Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Machine Shop Helper needed.
Experience working in a shop environment is prefered.

Compensation: $15-$18 per Hr DOE.

JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES: (include but not limited to the following)
- Operation of metal cutting saws. Including cold cutting circular saws and bandsaw.
- Deburring/finishing work on machined parts.
This can be anything from grinding, sanding and buffing surfaces of parts, to chamfering holes and easing shape part edges with a deburring knife.
- Operation of vibratory tumblers.
- Packaging of finished parts.
- Occasional operation of CNC lathe, or mill as needed, hand loading parts.
- Cleaning.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE AND TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- MUST be able to stand for long periods, often all day.
- Good at working with your hands and not afraid to get dirty.
- Fortitude. You will get minor cuts and scrapes on your hands and fingers, especially when learning.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs on a fairly regular basis. Over 50 lbs occasionally, but not daily.

- Works effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision (once trained).
- Reliable and punctual (Attendance is critical).
- Enjoys fast pace work environment (able to change priorities easily and transition well from job to job).

WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Works primarily in a machine shop environment.
- May on a continuous basis, stand, walk, bend and occasional lifting. This is a very repetitive manual labor position.
- Noise level in the work environment is moderate (machines/compressors running in shop)
