Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Shop floor Supervisor with experience leading small machine shops to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in operating and maintaining various machinery and equipment in a manufacturing setting.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the shop floor
- Coordinate and assign tasks to shop employees
-MUST BE ABLE TO make tooling offsets (cutter comp) and diagnose and replace tools as needed on CNC mills and lathes
- Ensure production schedules are met efficiently
- Work with and monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Train employees as needed on equipment operation and procedures
- Troubleshoot machinery issues and perform minor repairs
Experience:
The successful candidate should possess the following skills:
- Expertise with CNC mills, lathes, swiss, saws, etc
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting machinery
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Familiarity with programming machinery
- Ability to use tools such as micrometers for precision measurements
- Experience with Fanuc controls is a plus
We are willing to greatly increase our pay range for someone who is also an experienced CNC programmer and machinist. Our ideal candidate is someone with programming and setup experience who can make offsets, tooling changes, modify or create programs as needed. Depending on skill level, the salary range could increase to 85K /year
