Machine Shop Production Supervisor oversees personnel in charge of operating machines that perform a variety of processing operations. Supervises assembly operations such as filing, aligning, fitting, and scraping of parts to ensure established requirements and standards are met. Being a Machine Shop Production Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Responsibilities of Machine Shop Operator include:- Production and control of electronic components
- Operate Bridgeports, Kickpress, Furnances, Vapor Honing and Bead Blasting
- Load, unload, align, clean, and maintain machines
- Inspect parts and remove those that don’t meet company standards
- Utilize prints, drawings, written work orders, and standard operating procedures
- Ensure accuracy by following written work instructions to
- Follow company policies, procedures, and safety rules
Requirements of Machine Shop Operator:- 3 years of machine shop environment or manufacturing machine experience required.
- Bridgeport, Kickpress, Furnace, Tubbing, and/or Blasting experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills
- Highly motivated and able to meet goals
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills
- Great attention to detail
- Microscope experience, understanding of tolerances and measurement tools.
Hours: 6:00 am-4:30 pm Monday-Thursday
Pay Rate: $20.00-$22.00/hr
