Machine Shop Production Supervisor oversees personnel in charge of operating machines that perform a variety of processing operations. Supervises assembly operations such as filing, aligning, fitting, and scraping of parts to ensure established requirements and standards are met. Being a Machine Shop Production Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. The Machinist will set up and operate a variety of tooling and machines to resurface and repair a variety of automotive, truck and agricultural components including cylinder heads, engine blocks and crank shafts. Machinist will also perform presswork and resurface flywheels and brake drums. The Machinist builds on the Walker foundation of customer service and will have opportunities for continued growth within our machine shop.
