    Position Summary:

    Provides leadership and task direction to nonexempt production team members in support of team safety, quality, production, and problem-solving issues while insuring that customer expectations are met.

    Warn Industries is a fully committed team-based organization. The Production Supervisor must be a leader and a coach. Production Supervisor is accountable to Manufacturing Manager and The Director of Operations for production team performance and s/he must accomplish team objectives through team leadership and development.

    Essential Functions:

    1. Review production schedules to meet production objectives, maintain quality and attain output requirements.
    2. Assign team members to specific tasks to support the production plan as provided by the manufacturing manager.
    3. Develops, maintains, and delivers team member development and performance evaluations to provide personal growth and enhance team capabilities.
    4. With the support of the Manufacturing Manager, participates in employment, training, team member motivation, counseling and discipline of team members supervised.
    5. Responsible for ensuring communication across shifts.
    6. Ensures daily TPM activities and PM scheduling is completed.
    7. Leads team members in problem-solving activities that enhance safety, quality and productivity objectives.
    8. Supports safety, quality and productivity objectives through application of problem-solving and CI techniques, and operational systems such as MRP, Quality, TPM, STOP, etc.
    9. Executes projects within the team or between internal teams that support safety, quality and productivity.
    10. Maintains a variety of reports, records, and production documentation to reflect schedules, performance, methods, and procedures.
    11. Supervises team in a manner that supports company and business unit strategies. Extends WARN's strategic vision to team members.
    12. In accordance with WARN's Affirmative Action Plan, hires and develops team members who will provide high levels of performance.
    13. Manages team in a manner that supports a positive work environment for all team members.
    14. Develops, maintains, and delivers team member development and performance evaluations to provide personal growth and enhance team capabilities.
    15. Responsible for prompt and regular attendance as scheduled.
    16. May perform duties as listed in the Internal Quality Auditor job descriptions as necessary.
    17. Occasional travel may be required.
    18. Duties may vary depending on assigned shift and/or team.
    19. Performs other related duties as assigned.
    20. Accountable for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance in assigned area. Responsible for design and operating effectiveness of internal controls, including a self-assessment and report to management.
    21. Accountable for developing and monitoring processes and practices necessary for legal and ethical compliance in assigned area.
    22. Work safely and without injury.

    Required Education and/or Experience:

    1. Three or more year's proven success in a supervisory and/or managerial role in a manufacturing environment.
    2. Prior leadership training or experience required.
    3. College coursework preferred (Lean Manufacturing, APICS, Quality Systems preferred).
    4. Five or more years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment, Machinist experience preferred.

    Required Qualifications:

    1. Must have a career history demonstrating stability in employment and success in assignments.
    2. Familiarity with supervisory roles and responsibilities.
    3. Must posses strong oral and written communication skills to effectively present ideas and document activities in a professional and helpful manner while simultaneously building credibility and rapport.
    4. Working knowledge of commonly used business software products such as spreadsheets, word-processing and database management.

    13. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
    14. Ability to facilitate activities necessary to a project's completion.

    Schedule: Sunday - Thursday, 11pm - 6am. Warn offers a very competitive shift differential.

    Language Skills:

    Ability to read, write, verbalize and comprehend instructions and correspondence at a high level in the English language. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to customers, clients, and other team members. Advanced conflict resolution skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent customer service skills.

    Mathematical Skills:

    Must have mathematical skills to perform basic business math and industrial statistics. Higher skills may be required depending on actual job duties.

    Physical and Visual Activities:

    Standing, Walking, Sitting, Lifting, Carrying, Balancing, Stooping, Reaching, Handling, Feeling, Talking, Hearing, Acuity-Far, Acuity-Near, Depth Perception, and Field of Vision.

    Physical Demands:

    While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently required to walk, stand, sit, bend, or twist. He/she will frequently push and pull items repetitively. The team member continuously uses hand strength to repetitively grasp and use fine manipulation and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds while performing the duties of this job.

    Environment/Atmospheric Conditions:

    Must be able to work in a shop environment as well as a usual office environment. May be exposed to loud operating machinery, cold/hot temperatures, chemicals, and vapors.

    Machines, Tools, Equipment, Software:

    Personal computer, fax machine, copy machine, other office equipment, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint. May operate shop equipment such as assembly presses, manual and CNC machines, basic hand tools.
