We are a 70 year old tool manufacturing company and are looking for a Machine Shop Supervisor to join us. We are looking for someone who has the ability to oversee our machine shop as well as experience in manufacturing. This role has a strong emphasis in organization as well as technical ability.
Responsibilities
Coordinate the daily activities of the production and assembly teams.
Weekly/monthly tracking of production numbers.
Ability to run CNC/Lathe/machines as required.
Able to bring new efficiencies to the production process (Kaison experience a plus).
Monitoring stock of parts and forecasting future needs.
Ability to place required PO's for materials as well as negotiating best pricing with vendors.
Ability to keep organize, keep track of, and create new technical drawings as required.
Ability to troubleshoot and maintain machines
Delegate production assignments to appropriate teams and personnel.
Be the ultimate QA; responsible for the quality of tools sent out and materials brought in for quality.
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures where necessary.
Qualifications
Previous experience in manufacturing and production
Technical knowledge re: engineering drawings, CNC machining, and ability to learn new processes
Knowledge of production tools and equipment
Strong leadership qualities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
