Machine Shop Production Supervisor oversees personnel in charge of operating machines that perform a variety of processing operations. Supervises assembly operations such as filing, aligning, fitting, and scraping of parts to ensure established requirements and standards are met. Being a Machine Shop Production Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a Shop Clean up person to join our team. You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the facility. This position is in an industrial machine shop working around others as they perform their duties. Highly motivated and mechanically inclined persons are encuraged to apply as the duties could extend to other roles within the shop. Lifting and moving large or heavy items may be required at times as this is an industrial setting. The abiltiy to operate forklifts, cranes and pallet jacks will also be reqired.
Duties:
- Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, and emptying chip bins.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas including hallways, lobbies, and break rooms
- Follow established safety guidelines
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor
- Adhere to health and safety regulations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in commercial or industrial cleaning preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication skills to interact with team members
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting heavy objects or standing for long periods of time
