Machine Shop Maintenance Supervisor jobs in Colorado
Machine Shop Maintenance Supervisor oversees personnel in charge of maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding various production machines and equipment. Supervises the maintenance and repair of pumps, grinders, mixers, and a variety of other machines. Being a Machine Shop Maintenance Supervisor oversees the setup and use of tools and equipment before production use in order to ensure the optimum level of safety. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Machine Shop Maintenance Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Machine Shop Supervisor to oversee all aspects of production in our dynamic machine shop.
Responsibilities :
- Lead a team of machinists, providing training, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Plan and schedule production runs using ERP systems, ensuring on-time delivery.
- Program CNC equipment (G-code, PartMaker) and operate various machines (mills, lathes) to produce high-quality parts.
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and quality issues, implementing solutions for continuous improvement.
- Maintain a safe and efficient work environment, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and proper use of equipment.
- Collaborate with engineering and other departments on lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Conduct inspections to ensure parts meet all quality standards (ISO / FDA).
- Manage inventory and maintain accurate records.
Qualifications :
- Technical Degree in machining or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a journey-level machinist or similar role.
- Strong understanding of manual and CNC machining processes.
- Proficiency in CNC programming (G-code) and a working knowledge of CAM software (PartMaker).
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data, identify problems, and implement solutions.
- Commitment to safety and quality control.
- Working knowledge of metallurgy and manufacturing materials.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (GD&T).
- Proficiency in using production management software (ERP).
