We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for analyzing project specifications and creating accurate cost estimates. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining and manufacturing processes, as well as excellent attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Review project specifications and blueprints to understand the scope of work
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to determine the most efficient manufacturing methods
- Analyze material and labor costs to create accurate cost estimates
- Prepare detailed quotes and proposals for customers
- Monitor project costs and make adjustments as necessary
- Collaborate with suppliers to obtain pricing for materials and services
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, quotes, and project documentation
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in estimating
Experience:
- Previous experience as an Estimator in a machining or manufacturing environment
- Proficient in reading blueprints and interpreting technical specifications
- Strong knowledge of machining processes such as milling, lathe, boring mills and CNC
lathe and mills.
- Familiarity with CAD software, such as SolidWorks, for creating 2D and 3D models
- Experience with materials handling and inventory management
- Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
- Forklift operation experience is a plus
- Previous experience working in a warehouse or production environment is preferred
- Familiarity with quality control processes is advantageous
- Conduct client site visits to promote our capabilities and provide assistance in projects.
