To lead supply chain management initiatives including forecasting, demand planning, freight, and inventory control. You will identify and implement the best-in-class technology and infrastructure.
Essential Job Functions
1. Manage and oversee the customer service team and the production order and release clerks as well as manage and maintain relationships with customer service, operations, manufacturing, sales organizations and purchasing to create timely responses.
2. Lead efforts to resolve issues and challenges in supply interruption or demand changes.
3. Develop and ensure compliance with good material management practices, policies, and procedures.
4. Provide direction and leadership in key materials management areas such as inventory management (EDI), production planning, supply chain strategy, and MRP/ERP/MPS specification and execution.
5. Manage all inbound and outbound warehouse activities as well as the forecasting, planning, movement, and inventory.
6. Manage performance metrics for inventory control, forecasting accuracy, delivery certainty, and logistic costs.
7. Manage and oversee purchasing activity and personnel.
8. Manage and oversee shipping and receiving departments including personnel and the flow of incoming and outgoing materials.
9. Manage expenses and analyze alternatives to develop and sustain the optimal supply chain while driving continuous improvements.
10. Manage the reduction and control of obsolescence costs.
11. Design, develop, and obtain packaging for new and existing products to support launches.
12. Follow all IATF 16949/ISO 14001 policies and procedures.
