Logistics Manager manages all aspects of an organization's logistics management function to control, deliver, and distribute products and materials to the destination. Implements an overall strategy, metrics, and processes to deploy an optimized logistic network and operations. Being a Logistics Manager oversees critical and related inventory, distribution, and transportation operations that support the achievement of organizational goals and KPI's for product delivery and customer satisfaction. Selects vendors and negotiates rates and service levels and monitors performance. Additionally, Logistics Manager ensures compliance with all regulations governing transportation of goods. Utilizes analytics to monitor and measure performance, identify problems in operations, and achieve high performance at optimal cost. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Logistics Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Logistics Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • The Logistics Manager supervises the movement and delivery of products and accessories. They are tasked with planning routes, analyzing budgets, and safety compliance of their teams and company vehicles. Responsible for the operations and strategic direction of transportation and distribution of products.
    Supervisory Requirements:
    • Regularly recruits, hires, trains, manages and develops delivery drivers, and coordinates third-party logistics.
    Job Responsibilities:
    • Develops appropriate strategy to maximize customer satisfaction at the lowest possible cost.
    • Leads the delivery team in executing best practices and measuring performance through agreed upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
    • Directs and coordinates delivery functions through strategy, resource optimization, profitability maximization, and KPIs resulting in the maximization of customer satisfaction.
    • Plans, manages, and coordinates all activities related to the delivery of products and supplies needed to meet the changing levels of customer demand.
    • Responsible for team development, employee relations and fostering a positive workplace culture.
    • Works with warehouse and logistics departments to determine and set up intercompany transfers.
    • Works directly with the sales department to determine most cost-effective distribution solution for product and supplies transportation to customers.
    • Works with 3rd party freight arranging terms and transportation to set best route and rate.
    • Collaborates with procurement department to determine best practice for freight in and freight consolidation.
    • Supports proper optimization of Salesforce and FieldService.
    • Member of the operations staff, responsible for routinely reporting on department KPIs along with appropriate analysis and adjustments as needed to manage efficiencies and corresponding budget responsibility.
    • Oversee the scheduling of daily routes, ensuring efficiency while optimizing time.
    • Ensure that vehicles are properly maintained, keep organized records of vehicles and schedules.
    • Maintain up to date driver files in compliance with DOT standards and regulations.
    • Coordinates with warehouse and manages delivery risk and safety efforts, to include adherence to OSHA, CalOSHA, DOT, and other state and federal workplace safety laws.
    • Coordinates with HR and external Risk partners to ensure Workers’ Compensation claims are managed immediately and accurately, including workplace certifications are current, that WC X-Mod and loss run reports are analyzed and mitigation plans are in place; IIPP are compliant and accessible, and workplace safety standards are met at all times.
    Requirements:
    • Ability to work onsite at our Temecula HQ location, including early morning hours
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, or equivalent experience
    • 2 years of leadership experience in supply chain, logistics, or warehouse
    • Knowledge of DOT compliance and logistics software
    • Leadership experience, developing culture and training implementation
    • Risk and Safety management experience crucial for role success
    • Ability to conduct detailed procedures in a time constrained environment
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong sense of time organization and urgency
    • Able to work independently and within a team
    Compensation:
    • $65,000-$75,000 annual salary, based on experience
