Logistics Manager manages all aspects of an organization's logistics management function to control, deliver, and distribute products and materials to the destination. Implements an overall strategy, metrics, and processes to deploy an optimized logistic network and operations. Being a Logistics Manager oversees critical and related inventory, distribution, and transportation operations that support the achievement of organizational goals and KPI's for product delivery and customer satisfaction. Selects vendors and negotiates rates and service levels and monitors performance. Additionally, Logistics Manager ensures compliance with all regulations governing transportation of goods. Utilizes analytics to monitor and measure performance, identify problems in operations, and achieve high performance at optimal cost. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Logistics Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Logistics Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • WiTricity is seeking a Logistics Manager to collaborate with a broad group of internal and external partners, including Sales, Customer Service, Finance and 3PLs to insure best in class distribution and transportation performance in the US. The ideal candidate will manage all activities related to providing best in class Distribution and Transportation services in the US. They will establish clear processes and metrics to develop a strategic approach to WiTricity’s Distribution and Transportation requirements in the US. This is a hybrid position based out of our Watertown, MA headquarters.

    Responsibilities:
    • Manage all logistics activities required for timely and efficient transportation and distribution of WiTricity products in US, in support of all WiTricity’s distribution channels.
    • Direct the ongoing activities of 3PL distribution operations which include product receipt, storage outbound shipping and coordinating with third party and internal IT resources to maintain data and inventory integrity across multiple systems and sites.
    • Visit 3PL sites to conduct audits and ensure proper care of product/inventory and compliance on well-defined receiving, storing and shipping processes.
    • Conduct ongoing analysis of space and stock at the 3PL locations. Work with planning and inventory control to address issues proactively.
    • Implement and drive continuous improvement within WiTricity’s D&T operations by leveraging “best in industry” logistics management practices.
    • Track, analyze and distribute/present monthly key performance indicators (KPI). Accountable for implementing appropriate corrective actions when KPIs fall below targets.
    • Track non conformances and establish clear service level targets. Uses proven problem-solving methodology to identify root causes of failures as well as permanent corrective actions.
    • Manage contract compliance for all Distribution and Transportation partners.
    • Monitor spending for adherence to budget, recommend variances as necessary.
    • Participate in the implementation of the organization’s strategy for efficient product distribution.
    • Work in conjunction with WiTricity’s global IT function to optimize visibility to operational efficiency drivers.
    • While maintaining quality levels, drive cost out of the business and support cost avoidance.
    Requirements:
    • Bachelor’s Degree required. Logistics or Supply Chain management degree a plus.
    • 5 years of experience in Consumer product logistics/transportation or supply chain management.
    • Demonstrated ability to quickly and effectively build strong relationships, influence across the organization, and be assertive when appropriate.
    • Demonstrated leadership in change management.
    • Experience utilizing lean principals to drive improvement preferred.
    • Knowledge of statistical KPIs a plus.
    • Ability to present to key stakeholders across the organization, including executive team and board members.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
    • Comfortable in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment; Ability to be flexible and agile as business needs and goals shift.
    • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, strong work ethic and time management skills, with the ability to handle many priorities simultaneously.
