Implements an overall strategy, metrics, and processes to deploy an optimized logistic network and operations. Being a Logistics Manager oversees critical and related inventory, distribution, and transportation operations that support the achievement of organizational goals and KPI's for product delivery and customer satisfaction. Selects vendors and negotiates rates and service levels and monitors performance. Additionally, Logistics Manager ensures compliance with all regulations governing transportation of goods. Utilizes analytics to monitor and measure performance, identify problems in operations, and achieve high performance at optimal cost. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Logistics Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for processing paperwork required for the shipment of trailers both domestically and internationally. Ensures that paperwork is completed accurately and follows transportation and export laws. Provides coordination and administrative support to the Logistics Department and reports directly to the Logistics Manager.

- Completes all documentation for next-day shipments by the end of each day
- Updates “Load value spreadsheet” on a weekly basis
- Informs Logistics Manager and Sales Manager when accounts are overdue
- Generates purchase orders for carriers within 2 days of load confirmation
- Processes vendor payments within 1 day of receipt of invoices
- Submits financing documentation for funding within 2 days of delivery
