Overview

Logistics Managers serve as a liaison between the broker, client, carrier, shipper, and receiver. They are responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with all parties to provide excellent customer service. 

Responsibilities

• Quickly provide rate quotes to customers (TL, LTL, Volume, Spot)
• Work directly with customers on quotes and negotiate pricing for services
• Receive and process shipments according to customer needs, shipment entry, tracking and follow up
• Manage daily load activities through discussion with customers and carriers to ensure excellent customer service
• Contact assigned existing and potential customers to develop customer and carrier relations
• Research provider performance problems and provide feedback that facilitates resolution  
• Proactively manage freight on behalf of customers
• Address inquiries and troubleshoot issues for customers
• Understand all aspects of LTL freight (Class and density, Accessorials, Freight characteristics, Rating and auditing, scheduling, etc.)

Qualifications

• 2-3 years brokerage/logistics experience preferred
• Knowledge of international shipping is a plus
• Strong teamwork, initiative, and customer service skills
• Strong working knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and other technology related to the brokerage industry
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to efficiently manage time in a fast-paced environment and quickly change priorities
• Strong ability to multi-task efficiently within multiple software programs
• Self-Motivated
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Demonstrate knowledge of the LTL industry and aspects of LTL freight and shipping
• 18 years of age
• Fluent in English
• Able to pass a drug screen
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
