We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Transportation to oversee and manage our transportation operations. As the Director of Transportation, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective movement of goods and materials throughout our organization. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement transportation strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs
- Oversee all aspects of transportation operations, including order reservations, routing, logistics, materials management, demand planning, technology management and dispatching
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products to customers
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and other transportation vendors
- Monitor transportation performance metrics and implement improvements as needed
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, carriers, and customers
- Lead a team of transportation professionals, providing guidance and support as needed
