Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Transportation to oversee and manage our transportation operations. As the Director of Transportation, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective movement of goods and materials throughout our organization. This is a leadership role that requires strong organizational and analytical skills, as well as a deep understanding of logistics and reservation management.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement transportation strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs
- Oversee all aspects of transportation operations, including order reservations, routing, logistics, materials management, demand planning, technology management and dispatching
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products to customers
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and other transportation vendors
- Monitor transportation performance metrics and implement improvements as needed
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, carriers, and customers
- Lead a team of transportation professionals, providing guidance and support as needed

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of transportation operations and logistics management
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities
- Proficient in using transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant software
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and make data-driven decisions
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to finding solutions
