    Position Summary

    The Returns Coordinator supports the Warehouse Manager to ensure the operational efforts of an individual client location under limited supervision. Participates in the development and implementation of location policies and procedures. This position ensures the KPIs are met with the proper planning and scheduling of the distribution services. The Returns Coordinator also conducts operational analyses and audits of current procedures to monitor and improve the efficiency of operations and client satisfaction. The Returns Coordinator will spend most of his/her time in the office or warehouse maximizing the performance of the site. 

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Facilitate the daily operations and ensure daily objectives are being met
    • Implement LEAN six sigma throughout the warehouse to strengthen team unity, goals, productivity, and results
    • Following SOPs for the product return and truck check-in process each day
    • Ensuring accuracy with reason codes for each item that is returned to the facility
    • Ensuring timely reporting of returns compliance
    • Ensuring key performance indicators are met
    • Support for activities related to dispatching, routing, and tracking transportation
    • Supporting an environment that fosters open and positive team communication
    • Building a strong rapport with our service providers and clients
    • Communicate daily/shift goal of facility and group(s); device, communicate and implement plans to obtain operational goals; work with and motivate employees to ensure goal achievement; provide progress or constraint updates to management and implement corrective measures as needed
    • Manage logistics services
    • Performing other duties as assigned

     

    Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

    •  High school diploma or GED
    • Ability to prioritize and organize work, along with strong follow-up, analytical, problem-solving and sound decision-making skills
    • Effectively communicate in both verbal and written forms with customers, employees, peers and management
    • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, workgroups, customers, supervisors)
    • Work self-directed with minimal supervision
    • Work independently and as a member of a team
    • Flexibility to operate, and self-driven to excel, in a fast-paced environment
    • Capability to multi-task and highly organized with excellent time management skills
    • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices
    • Intermediate computer skills
    • Exposure to Lean principles, systems and tools (beginner level)
    • Experience working with contractors
    • Proficient with Microsoft Excel

     

    Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

    • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred, not required
    • Previous last-mile experience preferred
    • LEAN implementation experience a plus
    • Experience with managing direct reports
    • Routing and dispatching experience a plus
