POSITION SUMMARY:
- Conducts an ongoing financial analysis of the company's financial reports obtained from various departments
including sales, accounting, and marketing.
- Effectively evaluates, selects, assigns, and recommends credit for new customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Financial analysis of the finance reports obtained from various departments such as, sales, marketing,
purchasing, communications, etc. Other duties include preparing research reports on the industry and making
recommendations.
- Making use of spreadsheets and different statistical software to analyze financial reports.
- Analyzing paying habits of customers who are delinquent in payment of bills and recommending action.
Review files to select delinquent accounts for collection efforts.
- Evaluates customer records and make recommendations for increases or decreases in credit limits based on
payment history and sales activity of customer.
- Using reporting agencies, credit associations and other businesses to exchange information concerning
credit ratings and prepare updates to current company files.
- Leads the annual budgeting process for the company. Developing new and effective techniques for
financial planning.
- Reads outside financial publications to keep tabs of the latest trends and techniques in the field of financial
analysis.
- Coordinates with senior management as well as other departments, in order to assess progress in the
company's financial performance.
- Works with the company's IT Department to implement improvements in the system.
- Increases knowledge through continuing education.
- Promotes MegaCorp Logistics through participation in relevant associations and local organizations, as well
as volunteer opportunities.
- Provide assistance to Chief Financial Officer on Special Projects.
- Other duties as required
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors degree in business administration, Finance or Accounting is preferred
- Minimum 1 year freight brokerage experience is preferred
