Cleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opening for a Logistics Analyst at our West Chester, Ohio office. As a Logistics Analyst, you will facilitate the improvement of the transportation supply chain network by analyzing the transportation network and developing recommendations for reducing freight costs and improving on-time delivery performance by developing annual budgets, monitoring spending, reporting, and adjusting forecasts based on financial analytics. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the transpiration industry where they utilized Financial Planning & Analysis methodology.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Identify trends, patterns, and outliers to incur cost savings and service opportunities by performing both qualitative (trends) and quantitative (statistical) analysis with variety of techniques and tools.

• Work with other departmental teams to drive continuous improvement and cost savings initiatives.

• Work with Management and procurement team to identify sourcing/procurement opportunities for both cost factors and capacity trends by lane against demand inclusive of predictive modeling.

• Reviews market analytics and regional/lane data to identify opportunities for improvements.

• Work closely with Carrier Management to identify problem lane/carrier trends to improve service performance.

• Consistent reporting to leadership and performance tracking of preferred shippers.

• Identify system needs and technology enhancements, tracking issues, monitoring and testing future system enhancement releases before moved into production.

• Responsible for working with management to develop annual budgets.

• Other duties as required by business needs or as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, finance, or logistics preferred; or equivalent transportation and/or logistics experience.

• 1 - 3 years of experience with logistics/transportation data analysis preferred.

• Demonstrated strong project management skills

• Strong computer skills, advanced in Microsoft Office products including MS Excel.

• Possesses strong interpersonal skills and builds relationships between both internal and external customers.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4-6 years of experience with logistics/transportation data analysis.

• FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) experience.

• Knowledge of the transportation industry, transportation rate structures and current trends.

• TMS (Transportation Management System) experience.
