  • Reporting to the Senior Supply Chain Operations Manager, the Logistics Analyst is responsible for overall inbound (IB) and outbound (OB) logistics operations analysis and evaluation. The Logistics Analyst will also analyze existing procedures and bring value through well-adapted planning practices and solution-driven problem-solving while maintaining system data to ensure transportation partners, routes, and costs are updated accurately and timely. This position is based out of our HARIBO of America Headquarters in Rosemont, IL.

    Responsibilities
    • Use SAP to update negotiated lane rates and to create IB and OB deliveries and shipments.
    • Trace, track, and record IB container shipments and provide updates to internal and external business partners on a weekly basis.
    • Work with internal and external business partners to resolve brokerage, customs, and IB transportation issues.
    • Work with OB carrier partners to gather on-time pickup and delivery data and standardize data from all carriers to upload into the system of record.
    • Identify logistics areas for process improvements and cost savings through data analysis.
    • Collaborate with business partners and HARIBO associates to improve efficiency, productivity, and processes.
    • Responsible for preparing statistical data for RFP’s and analyzing results.
    • Evaluate existing capabilities and establish new systems and processes for tracking, measuring, reporting, and analyzing all HARIBO freight operations.
    • Serves as the liaison between Germany Global Logistics and supply chain and customer success and sales teams to provide necessary information. 
    • Cross-train with SC team to serve as back-up to other areas within department.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Qualifications
    Required
    • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, operations, transportation, or a related field.
    • 3 years of related experience in supply chain or logistics.
    • Proven experience in ocean and/or domestic freight.
    • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
    • Strong analytical skills to provide business insights.
    • Ability to be entrusted with sensitive and confidential information.
    • Ability to travel as needed.
    Preferred
    • Understanding of 3PL providers and service offerings.
    • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel: data entry, pivot tables, sorting, filtering, graphing, and formulas (SUM, SUMIF, COUNT, COUNTIF, PRODUCT, VLOOKUP, INDEX, MATCH, etc.).
    • Demonstrated proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred).
    • Experience in the CPG/food industry.

    • Strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills.
    • Proven ability to work under pressure and manage a variety of issues and assignments to meet deadlines.
