Log Grader and Scaler grades logs in a sorting yard, millpond, or log deck according to industry or company standards. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being a Log Grader and Scaler is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. FUNCTION:
Under the direct supervision of the TLC and/or ATL, the Grader is responsible for inspecting apparel and merchandise for quality; while determining mark-up opportunities. The Grader will separate apparel into boutique, saleable, and salvage categories. The Grader maintains a neat and clean sorting and processing area at all times. The Grader will ensure accurate counts; while achieving and exceeding the MGI production goals of (4) Tallboys each day. Additional job duties assigned by Team Leader Coach.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
1. Ensures 100% donor and customer delight.
2. Stays abreast of brand names, designer labels, current and vintage styles, and price points for soft line goods.
3. Sorts apparel into boutique, salable, and salvage categories. Place all salable apparel in the hang area of the sort table, tag and/or size apparel, hang apparel onto racks and transport racks of hung apparel to sales floor.
4. Provides quality assurance by checking for tears, stains, wet, smelly, soiled, broken zippers, missing buttons.
5. Recognize apparel brand names, knowledgeable on pricing, and grade quality of apparel.
6. Achieves and exceeding the MGI production goals of (4) Dandux/Tallboys each day.
7. Maintains sorting and processing area in a neat and clean condition at all times.
8. Adheres to all policies and procedures; follow good safety and security practices including reporting safety hazards and injuries to the Team Leader Coach or ATL.
9. Reviews and utilizes current Consumer Product Safety Commission recall bulletins to prevent unsafe items from being sold in the store.
10. Handles equipment and follow safety procedures when moving equipment: push, not pull and never overfill equipment.
11. May assists with floor running, apparel rotation, cleaning dressing rooms as needed.
12. 13. Attends in-service related training as assigned by Team Leader Coach.
14. Performs other duties as assigned by the Team Leader Coach.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
