Locksmith is responsible for the maintenance, installation, repair, and troubleshooting of locks and keys. Duplicates keys and replaces and re-keys locks as necessary. Being a Locksmith may install or maintain emergency exit systems and electronic access equipment and devices. May design new key or lock systems for an organization. Additionally, Locksmith maintains a thorough records of changes and additions to an organization's key systems. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Locksmith works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. I don’t have a clock for you to stare at until your shift is over. You will be working on call 12 hours a day for 6 days a week. Your pay is performance based. The potential upside is very high. Entry Level Locksmith Technician (Apprentice)
Looking to add a privately contracted locksmith technician to our team. No experience needed. We will provide necessary training in all areas of the trade.
We are looking for an applicant who wants a CAREER rather than a job. Must be willing/able to work full time (if you have other obligations this will NOT work out). THIS IS A RECESSION-PROOF CAREER!
As a locksmith apprentice, you will work directly with a trained locksmith professional until necessary skills are acquired to work independently. You will be paid weekly based on volume of calls and how quickly you are able learn.
Job Description:
Install, repair, rebuild and replace all hardware associated with locking devices
Replace/modify existing lock and keys (including fixing tumblers, adjusting springs, removing broken or defective keys, rekeying existing locks, etc.)
Respond to emergency calls to unlock businesses, homes and automobiles
Answer and respond promptly to any and all assigned jobs in your area
Maintain an accurate record of all work orders
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years or older
Must have a VALID driver's license with a clean driving record
MUST be available and capable of responding to emergency calls 24/7
Must be dependable, punctual and willing to learn in a fast-paced mobile environment
Ability to work directly with clients/customers without supervision
High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent combination of educational training
