Job Summary:
Responsible for providing full service locksmith and key security for the casino.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage materials, parts, and equipment, including inventory tracking, record keeping, product research, and supply procurement
- Repairs locks by adjusting or replacing working or broken parts
- Designs and installs special locks for security purposes
- Plans and installs master key systems for site and office areas
- Sets up and operates key duplicating and making machines
- Maintains records of key assignments and locks for buildings
- Maintains a variety of locks and locking devices
- Disassembles door locks and repairs or replaces worn tumblers, springs, and other parts
- Assist in repairs on wood and metal doors and door frames
- Assist in making keys
- Develop and implement a continual preventive maintenance program
- Maintenance of locks on campus and satellite facilities and manage key controls system
- Maintenance of all locks on campus and satellite facilities, including management of campus lock combinations with a computerized key control system
- Installation of all kinds of locks high security locks
- Inspects, analyzes dysfunction and repairs mechanical and electronic locks throughout the facility
- Cuts metal keys, re-pins lock to a master key system, picks locks and repairs or installs various types of mechanical locks in wood or metal doors or on furniture and equipment
- Produces mechanical and electronic keys and maintains security control of keys
- Repair, install, maintain, open locks
- Estimates job requirements, such as the quantity of material, time and cost
- Using standard locksmith equipment repairs and replaces worn tumblers, springs and other parts in locks, locking systems, door closure and locking devices
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Completion of a recognized apprenticeship or vocational program for a locksmith
- Requires the ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and propose solutions
- Must exercise sound judgment and make decisions independently
- Requires competent computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks and details in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Requires extreme flexibility, with the ability to work through stressful situations in a professional manner
