The Home Loan Savings Bank is a 140-year old, $260 million community bank with 5 branches. We are looking to add a LOAN PROCESSOR to our staff. This is a full time position with benefits. The successful applicant will work with lenders in the preparation of a variety of lending paperwork including residential and commercial real estate loans and other consumer loans while following banking regulations and policies. First shift, with a rotating schedule for half days on Saturday.
Responsibilities include:
· Working with lenders to prepare and process loan closing documents for consumer and business mortgages and other loans
· Assisting with other documents and tracking during the life of the loan
· Disbursing closed loans and draws on construction loans, cashing dealer loans
· Calculating and processing escrow payments and loan payoffs
· Delivering and/or mailing mortgages to be recorded, wiring payoffs and overnight payoffs
· Preparing partial releases for existing loans
· Tracking loans that are denied
· Ordering appraisals
· Scanning and filing documents
· Performing title search updates
· Communicating with other professionals, including attorneys, county clerks, and title companies
· Performing notary services
· Maintaining confidentiality
· Must pass a drug screening and have good personal credit
Skills include:
· High school diploma or equivalent required
· Experience with the lending process preferred but not required
· Basic knowledge of underwriting terminology
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· Effective written and verbal communication skills
