Kamaaina Loan has been on Maui for 47 years, and most of our team has been with us for 10 to 35 years.

A good pawnboker must be comfortable with basic math, and training involves lots of reading and computer work.

If you do not yet have pawn experience, I will train you; and if you do have experience, I will train you my way. Once you know my way, we can work on your way.

Pawn Broker

Job Description

The primary role of the Pawn Broker is to provide exceptional customer service to our customers by selling and processing pawn and cash box rentals. The Pawn Broker will be responsible for the sales and collections of all items processed through the Pawn Department. The Pawn Broker will also be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment for the benefit of the employees and customers.

Essential Functions:

• Work with customers to provide exceptional customer service.
• Sell and process items purchased through the Pawn Department.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for the benefit of the employees and customers.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism in all interactions with customers.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and interact professionally with all levels within the organization.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English proficiently.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a retail sales representative or related role (preferred).
• Must be able to meet stated physical requirements.
