SUMMARY:   Assist to book residential mortgage loans and assist within the department to efficiently and accurately process insurance for consumer, residential mortgage, commercial and SBA loans.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:  updating all insurance on the core system and sending to third party vendor, process renewals and cancellations as necessary, monitor reporting through third party vendor by mailing notices for expired/insufficient insurance, processes payments from escrow accounts for insurance and taxes.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Assist in booking residential mortgage loans (new, extended, modified)

• Reviews insurance documents to verify accuracy to loan documents.
• Process insurance renewals and cancellations, as necessary.
• Process notices from third party vendor.
• Contact processor/relationship manager, via email, with notices to assist in obtaining insurance or setting up negative escrow payments.
• Process escrow payments for hazard, flood and taxes to appropriate insurance companies and county offices as necessary.
• Updates tracking on core system to coincide with documents received for insurance and escrow accounts.
• Scans insurance and escrow documentation to imaging system to update file.
• Provides quality client service by delivering prompt and accurate information.
• Maintains a current working knowledge of all Bank policies and procedures, laws and regulations applicable to the position.
• Communicates with clients and lenders regarding insurance issues on loan account(s).
• Sorts, distributes, prepares and/or assemble data for daily, weekly and monthly reports.
• Perform other tasks for Loan Operations Manager or executive team as needed.
• Develops and maintains positive working relationships with both internal and external clients. 

KEY QUALIFICATIONS and POSITION REQUIREMENTS:                        

• Possesses knowledge of loan servicing for all types of loans
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Excellent client interactions kills
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, i.e. Excel and Word
• Proficient with 10-key and keyboarding skills
• Knowledgeable with financial institution operating policies and procedures and banking regulations, state and federal

 POSITION REQUIREMENTS:      

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in loan servicing
