We are seeking an accounting assistant to work closely with the Accounting Director. Must be able to work in small but busy company. Hybrid workweek schedule is available after training has been completed.

Responsibilities

• Data entry of American Express Statements into Peachtree accounting system
• Accounts Payable work which includes entering and scanning bills into Peachtree; printing and mailing checks
• Process purchase order and invoices
• Prepare diverse commission statements
• Additional accounting tasks as needed
• Backup for the Accounting Director

Requirements

• Two years working in an accounting department is required
• BS in Accounting is preferred
• Previous experience using accounting software is required; Peachtree experience is a plus
• Proficient to advanced Microsoft Word and Excel
• Must be detail oriented, confidential, and have strong attention to detail
• Demonstrates ability to manage a variety of priorities while meeting deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $48,000.00 per year
