We are looking for a Litigation Support Specialist to assist the team of a prestigious family law firm in Dallas. This position offers the opportunity to provide day to day litigation support on complex cases with associate attorneys and managing partners, support leadership with the interworking of the firm, as well as work independently. We are a litigation focused firm that leverages technology in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Core Responsibilities
• Perform support tasks on a variety of family law cases throughout the state: Divorces, Modifications, Enforcements, and Suits Affecting Parent-Child Relationships
• Maintain complex digital client files
• E-file pleadings
• Assist with scheduling
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and Court staff
• Coordinate with district clerks to retrieve documents, set hearings, and collect status updates
• Mail certified correspondence to relevant parties
• Conduct basic discovery work including document review, file reorganization, and production logging
• Help prepare digital and physical trial materials
• Provide office oversight including overseeing daily operations and maintaining office supply orders
• Assist with reception services including greeting clients and preparing for meetings
• Receive and sort daily mail/deliveries/couriers
• Complete other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, scanning and organizing documents
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree
• 1 year of experience in litigation support or other paralegal work
• Demonstrated tech literacy
• Strong plus: Basic familiarity with local rules of major Texas counties (namely Harris, Travis, and Dallas)
• Strong plus: Basic understanding of the structure of Texas family law cases (Initial pleadings, mediation, temporary orders, discovery, trial, and entry)
• Tech savvy; experience with CRMs such as Salesforce, Hubspot, or Microsoft Dynamics is a huge plus
• Exemplary communication skills, both written and verbal
• Resourceful and proactive, able to deal with issues as they arise
