Litigation Support Manager oversees the team that uses technology to support an organization's litigation efforts. Develops and implements policies and procedures for designing, implementing, and maintaining litigation databases. Being a Litigation Support Manager is responsible for the technical aspects of document organization and control, including electronic discovery (eDiscovery). Provides training to the end users on database use and document management. Additionally, Litigation Support Manager confirms the accuracy of the documents and exhibits for trial. We are an award-winning litigation boutique that handles commercial business litigation. We are interested in hiring a paralegal who can assist with everyday tasks.
We need:
* A team player who is willing to do everything from answer the phones to making copies to attending trial with our lawyers. We are a small collegial group of lawyers who previously worked at large law firms. We want someone who is willing to assist everyone in the office with any and all tasks.
* A detail oriented person who can review documents, prepare Excel spreadsheets, and follow through on multiple tasks.
* We need someone who is tech-savvy. Our work frequently requires the use of technology for organizing, maintaining and presenting evidence, as well as electronic databases for organizing document.
* The job is typically during regular business hours Monday through Friday. On occasion, if we have a trial or a significant hearing, we may need assistance nights and weekends if the task or the workflow require the extra effort. The firm pays overtime. In addition, we try cases across the U.S., so, at times, we may need assistance in other US-locations.
Requirements :
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
* A paralegal certificate (or desire to obtain one) is a plus, but not required.
* Preferably experience as a legal assistant or paralegal in a civil litigation firm.
* Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Mac operating systems.
