Litigation Support Manager
About the Job:
Macdonald & Cody, LLP is an insurance defense litigation firm specializing in personal injury and catastrophic injury claims. Macdonald & Cody, LLP seeks an energetic, hard-working, dedicated litigation support manager to join our firm.
Qualifications:
- Must have 15 years of experience in a fast-paced law firm as a civil litigation paralegal/litigation assistant combined with 3 years of management experience at a law firm (personal injury/insurance defense experience preferred).
- Must have advanced understanding of how a law firm operates on a daily basis including ability to troubleshoot and deploy rapid solutions for issues with personnel, coverage, and procedures and protocol.
- Advanced knowledge of court rules, code of civil procedure, filing deadlines in superior, federal and appellate courts, pre-trial and post-trial timelines, discovery procedures, and trial/arbitration preparation.
- Experience writing and implementing protocols and procedures. Ability to assess issues with protocols and procedures and amend same as needed.
- Experience creating and maintaining firm-approved templates. Ability to modify templates as needed.
- Experience with evaluating hiring needs, review of resumes to determine applicant qualifications, conduct interviews/testing, and work with HR/Firm Admin to onboard new employees.
- Candidate must be comfortable engaging in conflict resolution between personnel as issues arise. Must be comfortable conducting disciplinary meetings and implementing performance improvement plans. Advanced understanding of which issues need to be elevated to HR/Firm Admin.
- Exceptional ability to multi-task and work independently.
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word/Outlook/Excel).
- Experience working with Caret Legal fka Zola Suite is a plus.
- Travel between offices required.

The salary range in California for this role is $85,000 - $100,000 and represents the firm's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location.
